When exactly should u get tested for aids soon after having sex?

I had sex 2 weeks ago...i fear that i may get aids....can i get tested for aids so soon....can i assume that the tests are accurate even if the tests come negative..

I'm presuming that to fear aids, you must have had unprotected sex with a partner. So i recommend testing for several STD's as well as AIDS. For example chlamydia/gonorrhea.

However for a sole AIDS/HIV test, it takes around 3 to 6 months to get a conclusive result.

It can take 3-6 months for there to be detectable antibodies if you have aids. Since tests for aids usually look for the antibodies, testing now wont do much.

An HIV test can detect HIV antibiodies after 3 months of intercourse. Wait 3 months and then get tested.
