I had a DOT physical, had a problem with hearing, has anyone else had this problem?

Yesterday I took a dot physical the dr whispered and i was supose to repeat what he said, not very scientific, then he did a hear test in a booth. he said i barely passed and i would need hearing aids next time. I don't have a hard time hearing for the most part, i find this hard to believe.

DOT physicals are ridiculous. There's a good chance that their equipment is out of calibration and there is no way you can norm a "whisper" test. My best advice is to get a full hearing evaluation done by an audiologist. Your health insurance will pay for the test, you will just need to get a referral or script from your doctor to order the test. This will let you know exactly what your hearing is like, if you're a candidate for hearing aids, and will cover your butt if your job tries to tell you that you need hearing aids. Good luck.
