Question about giving blood and Nucleic Acid testing (NAT)?

when you give blood, they have nucleic acid testing (called NAT) to check your blood of certain viruses, i.e. aids, etc. etc.
So my question is, how long will it take them to send the blood out or whatever it goes to get it tested to see if the blood is contaminated or not?

While I'm 99.99999% sure my blood is fine, I don't do drugs, I don't sleep around etc. I want to have an idea (and know that it is all fine) so that I can schedule my next appointment with them, but I forgot to ask them today :(

You would be notified of any concerns within one-two wks. Blood that is to be transfused is only good for a certain period of time.
