Help! High pulse why?

Weve been doing first aid at college and they tested our blood pressure and our pulse and we were told its meant to be 60-80, but he said mine was very high at 104!! Thats really high. Does anyone know why???
He said it could of because i was nervous or coming down with something. Im 5ft4 and im 6 and half stone if height and weight does anything to it.

When I work out, it is almost 100.

Three years ago I had taken too much sudafed which had psedophedrine. It make my pulse go up to 172 when I was sitting down. Usually it is 60 when I am doing nothing. It had to wear off, but it was really scarey until that went down. They gave me an EKG to check my heart, which was OK.

You need tests to find out what is doing this to you. Do not hesitate to go to the Dr.

Average resting pulse is around 60-80 yes, but your pulse rate can go up and down throughout the day. If it consistently stays up over 100, then I would definitely go see your doctor.
