Can Dogs get Infections?

I was in my house when I had my Dog outside, she came with a condom in front of my home, the condom had blood scemen. I don't know if she ate it or what, but im afraid if animals can get an infection like aids or others. Is ther also such things were you can test Dogs!!!! Please, answer this.

dogs cannot be transmited AIDS by a human...only dog AIDS from another dog can give your dog AIDS....NOT A HUMAN!! this rule goes with all animals. Im not sure if u can test ur dog, but im pretty sure u can.

dogs do not get aids from humans....I woldn't worry unless the dogs gets sick...think about how many nasty things dogs eat....cat poop, grass, old nasty bones, shoes. etc.

I'm sorry but that's disgusting. I feel so bad for your pooch. Not only could she catch whatever was in that nasty condom but if she did eat it, she could get sick from ingesting the latex. Take her to the vet ASAP. Good Luck :)

dogs can get infections, but usually they are dog related type. if your dog is properly vaccinated then you shouldnt worry to much, but a unvaccinated dog can get other dog type illness that can be fatal. an some infections that are dog related can be brought into your house just by you stepping into a infected fecal matter . and those virus can live for up to a year in some cases. so proper vaccinations are vital to the health and wellbeing to your dog

I don't think dogs can get human aids. I' ve never heard about that. But your dog may have taken another type of virus or bacteria. Bring it to your vet for a control, and good luck.

Don't wait too much on this question, but take her to the vest ASAP. I'm not sure if a dog can get sexual diseases, but she could have eaten it or gotten infected. I believe you can test dogs. Touching blood is very dangerous if the donor was sick.

take it from me your dog cannot get AIDS or any other STD from human sources. There are very few diseases that are transmitted from humans to canines, but none from blood or semen... I am going to be a veterinarian next year and have learned all about this stuff.

Yes, dogs can get infections. I would suggest taking your dog to the vet, explain what happened, even if they think you have lost your mind, tell them you are concerned and what to have your dog tested.
