Chest pain....need advice please?

for the last few days...ive been having chest pain around my heart and sometimes it reaches bellow left arm pit accompanied by radiating pain to my left arm and hand. to some, those seem as classic symptoms of ANGINA, however, ive had this pain earlier this year and went to two different doctors...took blood tests, cardian enzymes,,,, ive done it all. and both doctors thought there was nothing to worry about. all results came out perfect! but this annoyes me so much. i feel it mostly in the pictoralis muscle....especially when i stand up, move my arm...also i find it difficult to breath. am quite young 29 y.o. what could that be???? i also suffer from anxiety and ive been stressed out lately...post graduate degree PLUS work. in addition, i worry too much....i get paranoid :) and i think the worse!!! during medical school ( 1998 dropped out) when i got the blood test results (for addmission) , i was convinced i had AIDS looooool

I think your right about the muscle pain. If it were your heart, the doctors would have found that problem by now. Your on the right track about seeing your doctor(s). You need to be following their advice rather than looking for it here. Work w/ them on finding the root problem to your anxieties and muscle pains. G'luck.

Sounds like a case of a panic attack. run your wrists under the cold water and take deep breaths!

i had chestpain and the doctor said it was because i was having trouble reathing. i had asthma.

stress will do all these but you need medication for your anxiety problems so go see a doctor good luck with school

I had chest pain and thought i was dying, I was trying to complet a uni degree, look after my four kids, and save my dying marriage. I went to hospital for a week as they thought I was having a heart attack... did all the tests... for another year I had chest pain... then low and behold i decided to leave my husband and did and no more chest pain. It was stress. If this pain continues you still need to have it investigated. try and relax and get some good sleep

Go to the ER.
This is going to sound foolish to you probably but get them to do a sonogram of your heart. It could have fluid around it.
I had something similar to what you are experiencing and they said I have fluid around my heart, but it was ok and would go away.
Did they do EKG'S?
Are you congested at all?
I went home and took Musinex, cough syrup, tylenol etc and finally got rid of it. You may or may not just be really congested.

The best way to help determine at home whether your chest pain is attributed to ischemia (lack of oxygen to the heart) is to simply take some sips of cold water - if the problem goes away with sips of cool water, it is most likely gastrointestinal (such as an ulcer, acid reflux, GER, or GERD). If it is relieved by the sips, you may need to talk to your primary care physician about getting on a GERD medication such as prilosec until you have the opportunity to learn more about a proper diet that will help alleviate this problem. Try eating less greasy foods, less fatty foods, if you drink a great deal of soda, try backing off. Some people have reactions to the phenylketonurics that is in most soda (the artificial sweeteners).
NOT RELIEVED BY SIPS: You may be experiencing PVC's. Nearly everyone has them, but some people's are exacerbated by increased stress (physical, mental, emotional) and they can also worsen in response to excessive caffeine intake. One of the number one causes of sudden death in your age bracket is related to excessive caffeine intake. A continuous run of PVC (premature ventricular contraction) is known as V-tach and is a deadly dysrhythmia. If you are having occasional notable PVC's, try drinking a little less caffeine and maybe a glass of red wine each night. Although excessive alcohol consumption can also cause PVC's, most cardiologists will recommend RED wine in a diet because it can have beneficial effects on the heart (can help to decrease the oxygen demands of the heart muscle).
