What is involved when you have a physical at a Dr. office?

I recently went to a Dr. Office to get a physical and he took some blood, an x-ray, blood pressure, temp, and told me he was going to run test on my blood for tuberculosis and AIDS, and i don't know what else they didn't really explain anything to me but still charged me like $317.00. Is that rutine or what should a physical involve.Cause thats alot of money.

I used to think that a physical consisted of pulling my underware down and hopping around like a bunny but I found out during my second physical in life that that is not standard practice. I'm still looking for that bastard!

STD tests are not standard unless you request it. everyone I have had consist of blood work, turn head and cough and check every hole in your body. I have never heard of someone getting an x-ray unless they have had previous medical problems.

A physical medical exam is advised and is done throughly for a lot of reawsons, mostly for certification of a clean health.. for the purpose of hiring you or assuring you are fit for the job or position you are intended to be.. Goodluck.. =)

If you didn't get a great finger wave (prostate exam), I wouldn't pay the Dr.
