I accepted a drink from a 2 liter bottle of soda pop & then watched the owner drink from the bottle.?

I know she's used drugs in the past & has been sexually active. Do I pay for her to get tested for mono, meningitis, aids, hepatitis, TB???? It seems ridiculous but are these a real concern? I'm really grossed out.

Um, what makes you think ypu can make her get tested for anything? If you are really concerned, just go get yourself checked. You don't know that she drank from it before she gave you some. Chances are she is not going to get tested just because you say so and if you give her the money, she will spend it elsewhere. Calm down and think rationally.

Your right .It's ridiculous. No.

She is nasty, why do you even see people like that?

yes

I completely understand why you would be grossed out but I am pretty sure you have nothing to worry about.

I think you're fine. It's really hard to get a disease from something as simple as sharing a drink.

what is the relevance of the fact that it was a 2 liter bottle?

Maybe she didn't drink from the bottle until after she gave you some??

In any event, you are fine.

you're probably fine... maybe mono could be a concern, but not aids...i think you're fine.... LOL

If you took the first drink why all the medical testing

Why would you accept a drink from anyone unless they opened it in front of you.I wouldn't even from my best friends because you never know who's been drinking out of the bottle. And no she shouldn't have to pay to get tested...you accepted it.If you ask her to go she may get offended and never talk to you again. But you should maybe have a check up if you're worried about it.

If you were so damn worried about catching a disease from her, why the hell did you drink from the bottle?

Also, you're being a paranoid hypochondriac. Stop being so frightened of everything.

I seriously doubt you have anything to worry about. How do you think she would respond if you told her you wanted her to take all of these tests? If she is a friend, she wouldn't be for long. If you are really that concerned about germs, I would suggest bringing your own pop next time. Good luck!

I think you should watch for symptoms before offending someone like that. You could always get prophylactic treatment for hepatitis if you are that freaked out, but it is probably a nasty drug regiment. All the other illnesses you mentioned are treatable. I think that you catching something serious from the drink isn't incredibly likely...

So obviously the bottle was not just opened!

I think that is disgusting.... but I dont know what you should do??

I dont think anyone should drink out of a bottle unless it is just for their own personal use!! Because everyone has some kind of germs n I dont think I would want anyone elses germs.

And so did you drink your cup of soda before or after the owner drank from the bottle!

But nah its their personal business so, unless you want to make enemies I suggest if you are really worried then you go and get tested.....

it very unlikely you will get anything from that it take up to a litter of spit to to get HIV that way. but if you that worried look up STD on the net there's lot of information out there!

You drank from the same bottle....chances are none for aids...so don't worry about that. The chances are slim that both she had the others and you contracted them from her. Get the tests your self if you are that worried

I think you will be ok, if you are concerned see your dr.
chances are slim. you got anything. next time don't share.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, but if it will give you piece of mind, then you should get tested. If all of your tests come up clean, then you will be relieved. I don't know what else you have done, so maybe you should just get tested anyway. It seems like a win/win situation for me.

Also in your question, you asked if you should pay for her to get tested. I don't know if that was a mistake or not, but just in case it was not, you should not have to pay for her. Just worry about yourself and be careful about who you swap fluids with in the future.

Also, you can't catch HIV/AIDS from sharing a drink.

You accepted a drink from a 2 liter bottle of soda, then watched while the owner drank from the same bottle. Why should you pay for her to get tested for anything. If you are so grossed out and worried about catching something (STD), you should have thought about that before hand. However, except for TB you should have no worries. AIDS, although being an STD cannot be spread by sharing a bottle of soda, and TB is spread if the infected person coughs in your immediate vicinity and the virus gets into you system. If you are worried about it get a skin text for TB. All of the other diseases you questioned about are blood borne disease and of not to much concern.

if you drunk from it first then she drunk from it, theres no problem.

What drugs has she used that you know of? IV drugs? Even so, I think its a lot of concern over nothing. Just get yourself tested if you are truly concerned.

didn't you drink from the bottle before she did? that's how it sounds the way you worded your question. i'm probably wrong though.

well you can't get AIDS from drinking off the same bottle of soda, trust me, it's not spread that easily through saliva.

as for mono....does she seeem weak or sick and tired? if not, she probably doesn't have it, although it might be too early for her to show symptoms yet.

Hepatitis... TB...meningitis...i think you are worrying too much...alot of people share drinks once in awhile. and a lot of people are sexually active. I just think you are too worried. relax a bit!
