Birth control?

If you take birth control pills, how do you know when you're getting your period, since its regulated? Also, if you & your partner are tested negative for AIDS, etc. and have unprotected sex, but you have your pill every day, is there a high chance for pregnancy?

if you cant tell, im new to this birth control thing..

and what happens if you take the pill at a different time once?

When you take the pill, if it is a 28 pill pack, you have 3 weeks of active pills and one week of non-active pills. During the week of non-active pills you have what is called withdrawl bleeding. Since the pills that week do not contain hormones, the level in your body drops and you shed your uterine lining. If you are absolutely sure your partner does not have any STDs, that means get tested, you can have sex without a condom. The key to making the pill work is taking it at the same time every day without fail. If you take one a few hours late it is not a big deal, but completely missing a pill will reduce its effectiveness.

Your period is regulated, but you still have one, unless you are getting the Depo Provera shot. It will be like periods you had before, just maybe lighter and at more regulated intervals. If you take your pill every day at the same time, the chances of getting pregnant are very low.

ok if you are on the pill you will take it everyday AT THE SAME TIME that is very important. you will have a pill for everday and 5 or 7 of the pills will be a new color thats how you know your period is coming. you can still get STDs on the pill but it is made to stop pregnancy up to 99.9%. there are many kinds of pills ask your Dr what is right for you.
