Why is animal testing allowed?

Why do we think it's okay to test on animals for AIDS?AIDS is a disease that people brough upon themselves.Why should animals pay the the price?If people wanna find cures they should grow some balls and test on themselves.

okay, then why is HUMAN testing allowed?
if it weren't for people such as myself, cures would never be found at all for many diseases out there who now have either a cure or a preventative cure.

we don't just test on animals. we test on humans as well.
animals are used (certain ones depending on what disease the scientists are trying to cure or treat) because they are the closest thing to humans. not all cures can be tested on animals because it is not possible for them to be a host.

regardless, you may feel it's wrong, but i know human nature enough to know that if it were someone you loved, you'd find a way to help....and unfortunately, sometimes we have to have a live "being" to host the disease, so they can experiement to help find treatments.

we are however, are more for animal rights now. soon we will be able to use live donor tissues to find cures and diseases without the use of animal or human guinea pigs.

I thought aids came from Africans having sex with monkees and homosexuals and drug users spreading it around ..at least that is what I heard..what did you hear?

People didn't bring AIDs on themselves.
We are still unsure of its origination.
We are testing animals to see if it was caused by a mutated gene or some other factor.

Uproarious giggling is coming from my computer room right now.

2. Once the bunny testing has been completed, it is tested on people. And then we get fiascos like Phen-Fen and Vioxx.

3. What would happen if no one volunteered for the testing? You can only forcibly test on so many homeless indigents before you run out of them.

4. Do you know anything about the origin of HIV/AIDS? Did you bother to study up on it before unleashing your ignorant fingers upon your poor, innocent keyboard? Probably not...and I'm sure you aren't interested in learning. Denial and ignorance are always easier that education, aren't they?

5. As for growing balls- scientists are hard at work learning to do this. Unfortunately, they are using bunnies to conduct the preliminary tests.

Doing AIDS testing on ourselves is not growing balls, it's just stupid

I think we should test these drugs on convicted murderers and child molesters. Let them do something positive for society.

Back in the 30's they tested radiation and other chemicals on orphange children and prisoners
