Besides war what is america good at?

Japan has us beat automotively. We cant say medically because even China allows stem cell research and they successfully tested an aids vaccine on a human subject.
So then what besides weapons and war is america truly good at

America is the most peaceful continent in the world.

There have been no wars in the northern hemisphere of the continent for over a century, in the southern American hemisphere the last (real) war was in 1936. All in all over the last century less than 50,000 Americans died due to war, NO OTHER CONTINENT can claim such a small toll, except for Australia but that is a nation/continent so it doesn't count, as it can't fight itself.

FREEDOM.....We have more than anyone in the world that I know of.

Medicine most definently, so what China allows stem cell research? What about the thousands of other medical fields, we allow stem cell research just not government funded, which accounts for very little in the medical research field. In Medical technology we have revolutionized the world over the last century. Learn some history. Not to forget about everything else, anything technological, seeing as the internet, and computer are American inventions. The Free market breeds everything else, something China lacks completly. No it isnt part of the question, but the guy above me is right, we do have more freedoms than any other country, why dont you take a Political Science class at any college, and you would learn this.

Must be something.... otherwise people would be immigrating else where instead of coming here. It fact it is becoming a problem that needs to be dealt with.

We create wealth.No one out does us.We must do quite a few other things well, as people are willing to risk death to get here.We are number one in medical break throughs and drug creation.We produce more food than we can eat.We are the image of freedom in the world.Many try to deny the last but it is was and I hope will always be true.

We fund stem cell research and have funded stem cell research for quite some time, and there have even been cures developed. The BS that the democrats passed this week was crap and anyone who knows anything about this topic understands this. I think you would do wise to learn more about your own country before making judgment. Japan was smart enough to use the quality techniques developed by Deming (an American by the way), that the Americans passed over. The US is good at so much more than the rest of the world. America is good at making movies.
Movies alone is our most profitable export.
The rest of the world loves our TV shows and our movies.

Therefore the half-baked citizens that sling arrows at hollywood are unknowingly bashing the most American of all products.
