I've been with a man.?

after 2 years i've done the aids and stds test and all came negative. i've not been with anyone else since. do i have to take the test again or not?

If you have any suspicion that he has been or is being unfaithful to you now, then yes, you should retest. Your partner can bring home AIDS and STDs to you.

Also, if you have had unprotected sex or intravenous drug use within the past seven years, yes, you should retest. Doctors suggest that once infected, AIDS can lie dormant and undetected for up to seven years.

Otherwise, no. If you are in a monogamous relationship, were not a drug addict, and have not been a participant in unprotected, promiscuous sex, there is clinically no need.

if your sexually active with anyone, it's good to get regular testing.

just do it again to be very sure u not going to be postive the next time around ok

Why would you? ...........the only reason i can see why you would ask this question is because you have a new partner and he wants you to get tested..........is it the truth that you haven't been with anyone else? if your partner wants you to go and get checked go and do it why not? but ask him to do the same. (then you can live happy ever after like a couple of wild bunnies!)

They say alot of the symptoms can lay dormant for about 10 years. So, it's up to you. I've seen the one less commercials on TV. Maybe talk to your doctor about your HIV concerns and getting the HPV test. Just be careful and protect yourself no matter how much says he loves you.

R u still with him? and is he with others or is he in AIDS situation?
test again to be sure

yes, and please quit having unprotected sex unless you are in a monogamous relationship.

I'm not trying to scare you, but it is good to get tested regularly. this is because it can take up to 7 years for HIV/AIDS to show up in your system. This is very scary, but it is why you should get tested on a regular basis. As for other STDs, you need to get tested for them too.

In some people the HIV infection can lay dormant and not be detected. I suggest you get tested every 6 months to be on the safe side. I once got stuck with a patient diabetic syringe
accidentally and I still test every 6months to make sure and I will continue to do so.

every time you see your gyn get the tests done, they can both lie dormant.
