Tom wolfe books?

i'm reading tom wolfe's books the electric kool-aid acid test and the pump house gang and they're still not making the most sense to me. can you give me a summary of either one? i'd just like it to be a paragraph or 2 including characters and some main events. thank you sooo much!

Those two books may be something you don't want to read because they involve events that occurred in a capsule of time; "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" being a chronicle of just that, the years of 'dropping LSD,' and "The Pump House Gang" being one I don't recall at all.

I suggest a different Tom Wolfe book for you, "The Right Stuff," about the early astronauts. Movies have been spun off of this book, "Top Gun" being one, I think--

At any rate the book excels in excitement, writing, and of course is also a true story with a slight Wolfe spin; it's really good and should be accessible to you even if you didn't like the others.

This one is about young test pilots, all first trying to break the speed of sound, then jockeying for that first ride on a rocket into out space. A great read.
