Can you get aids from someone's saliva?

Every time my boyfriend and I kiss, he uses alot of tongue. And sometimes I end up with alot of his spit in my mouth, and I swallow it. He's not a virgin, but he swears he's been tested and that he doesn't have any diseases or anything. But I'm really, really scared. He's 15, and I'm 13. I'm seriously freaking out here.

No. AIDS can not be passed by saliva. Well to be entirely truthful, HIV can be found to be present in the saliva, but there are no recorded cases of transmission via saliva, or for that matter, tears and urine. However that is not the same for all types of infections.

Some people have said that hypothetically it is possible to spread HIV through saliva. However, this has never in the entire history of the disease been known to actually happen. You should not worry about it.

If you start having sex (any kind, including oral) then you should start worrying. Make sure he wears a condom every time and make sure he gets tested AND shows you his results. Don't just take his word for it. Boys are known to lie on occasion.

I am positive that most fifteen year olds dont get tested for stds. If you are nervous that he doe Stds go see your docter and stop seeing him!

no. theres a very low chance I think like one percent... you cant get hiv from just saliva but if the saliva has visible blood from an infected person in it theres a chance you can get it.

First, the probability of getting HIV from saliva is small. Second, he's only 15, so I doubt he has HIV. Third and most importantly, he's a really sloppy kisser. Gross.

they are normally in hositals. soa ll you need to do is go to your local hospital and find the GUM area.. tell them you want to book an appointement and then you can get tested. if you live in the UK then its free.. if USA then i havent a clue

second of all if you are that freaked out, going to your pediatrician and ask them to give you an aids test so you can calm your nerves. it is confidential and your parents even if your mother takes you to the doctor, will not be disclosed your business.

make this a practice because it sounds like with all that heavy kissing, you two are about to be doing the grown up real soon. and although people will tell you you are too young and just wait, that is going to ignored by you. learn about the practice of safe sex. read and go online about how std's are contracted and what signs and symptoms to look for.

educate yourself because if you are going online asking about an issue that should be discussed with your parents, clearly shows that you guys have a barrier. be safe.

If a person is HIV positive, the virus is present in most all of their bodily fluids.
And there are traces of it in saliva, but not as much as you would find in blood or semen.
If you both have open sores in your mouths, then, yes, you are at risk.
Ask him to show you a copy of his HIV test result.
Chances are, you would NOT get the disease from kissing.
But If he's as sloppy with his spit as you say, I'd be turned off, too!
