My story worried of aids?

One saturday night i went out with my friends and got a little drunk. I did something incredibly stupid and hooked up with a girl that I had heard got around. We both performed oral sex, but then i used a condom when actual sex occured. I pulled out when i wen just to be safe anyway. The following Wednesday I began to have a headache at around 11 p.m. The next day I woke up feeling terrible. My head hurt and I felt like I had flu like symptoms but i never vomitted. I went to the doctor because my fever was going up and down from 102 to 99. It usually dropped after I took some tylenol of Aleve. I totally regret what I did. The doctor tested me for strep throat and the flu and both came up negative. But this was the second day and i had began to feel better. Two weeks later I still feel a little dizzy but I'm wondering if this is due to dehydration because I have been playing basketball lately. This might also explain body aches. I found a welt looking red mark on my back.

It sounds viral, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you have HIV. Most people don't know they have HIV for years, unless they are tested on a regular basis. The red welt on your back, along with the fever and feeling sick may indicate that you have a Staph infection, which you may or may not have picked up during your "encounter". I would go back to the doctor and have him take a look at the welt. You may need an antibiotic.

HIV symptoms take longer to show up. But if I were you, I would get a full blood workup. Like a CBC (complete blood count) and all that other stuff. You should get tested for HIV in 6 weeks. Then at 3 months, then at 6 months. Just to be extra sure. Keep an eye on that welt. If it starts filling up with pus or anything, go to the doctor, as it could be a staph infection.
