If it is protected or preserved by some people, I would check with them first. But if the bodies are not protected by any laws or anything, I don't see why not.

Anything for the A!

The Desecration of a Venerated Object statute, TCA 39-17-311, states that a person who intentionally desecrates a place of burial commits a Class A misdemeanor. This law prohibits the physical abuse of a burial site, such as defacing a tombstone or damaging a grave in some manner. A person caught in the act of digging in a grave site, before actually disturbing the remains, could be charged with this offense.

The Abuse of Corpse statute, TCA 39-17-312, states that the physical mistreatment of a corpse, the disinterment of a corpse, or the unlawful disposal of a corpse is a Class E felony. This law applies to physical abuse of human remains, either before or after they have been buried, digging up human remains that have been buried, or to disposing of human remains without a proper burial or cremation. A person caught in the act of digging a grave after having actually disturbed the remains could be charged with this offense. A person possessing human remains and physically damaging them, such as by using them as craft material, would be in violation of the law. A person who buried human remains illegally, or threw them in a river or a trash dumpster, would also be committing this offense.

Conviction can result in both substantial financial penalty and incarceration. Part of our responsibility to preserve and protect these resources is provided by the Rules and Regulations Governing Public Use of Water Resources Development Projects (36 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 327). Persons can be cited under Title 36 CFR Section 327.14(a) [Destruction, injury, defacement, removal or any alteration of public property including, but not limited to, developed facilities, natural formations, mineral deposits, historical and archeological features, and vegetative growth, is prohibited except when it is in accordance with written permission of the District Engineer] and fined up to $5,000.00 and receive six months imprisonment. Persons engaging in more serious forms of destruction of archeological resources may be prosecuted under the Archeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA). An ARPA conviction could be as much as a $250,000.00 fine and five years imprisonment. An especially significant traditional resource can be the burial places of prehistoric and historic period Native American Indians, especially those of the former inhabitants of this region, the Caddo. A person found to be desecrating these burial places could also be punished with an ARPA conviction.

O.C.G.A. Section 31-21-44

This section makes it a felony (1-5 year imprisonment) to wantonly or maliciously remove a body from a grave or disturb the contents of a grave or other place of interment. It further makes unlawful receiving, retaining, disposing of, or possessing dead bodies or parts thereof knowing it to have been unlawfully removed from its place of rest

personally i think you are just looking for attention...and negative attention is better than no attention... so im going to give you something to think about... "would you want your relatives disrespected like you want to do? you need psychological help!

how's that for negative attention??? now you can get that stupid idea out of your head

Remember: These resources are part of our collective heritage, and it is up to all of us to help preserve this heritage.

Well seems like you will never make it out of school if you do. If I were you, I would study with the books, but I am not sure about the class and test material. Are you using bones in the class or it is just a theory class? More importantly, is the test multiple choice or essay questions or more interactive like giving you a bunch of numbered bones and asking their name?

I'm taking a medical transcription course, and they advised to get cuts of meat from a butcher or any other meat supply place, you may be able to get any "leftovers for free. Or, perhaps call the local morticion, maybe they could hook you up. Or, just make it simple, and check your next dinner out a little closer. Happy hunting!

nop digging a bad idea
go for the atlus available like i have the McMinnn's one its quite good all u need is to collect fiv information about each bone
side determination

i know almost all the ant is being covered but u have to its ANATOMY ONE MORE ADVISE do this along with ur friends anat in grop is really interesting

Bones are easy. Check out Tim White's Human Osteology, that is the best book in the field. Secondly, I study ancient bones, and that would be a very bad idea. NAGPRA does not apply, but still it is illegal...see the post above about the Class A Misdemeanor.

Try out Netters Atlas! I used that - good stuff.
