well, it is best to go back intermittently to get tested. i've heard that stuff can be dorment for a long time.

I would go on line and research the time line about testing for HIV. I think if you don't test positive after 6 months you are fine. People can be harsh with their answers.Hasn't your husband been wondering why you guys haven't had sex in 18 months? I think you made a mistake and love your husband and that is why you don't won't to hurt him by giving him a disease. I am sure you are fine but just get the correct information before sleeping with your hubby.I am sure you don't use a condem with your husband because you are on the pill and he would be asking wtf is with the condem. I think a little compassion is in order. Yes, what you did was not very bright. You do need to tell your husband and get some counseling if you want to stay in this marriage. You need to get counseling if you don't to find out why you would risk everything for a one night stand. Once you have confessed you need to put it behind you and move on.
