Is it true if you get aids thats it takes 2years to show up when u get tested?

if you carry a copy of the delta 32 gene it may take 10 years for aids to show.
if you carry two copies of the delta 32 gene you will never get aids.

if you have no delta 32 gene aids will show in 2 months to 2 years.

It CAN take up to 3 years, but not in all cases. The earliest is usually between 3 to 6 months after being exposed.

When people become infected by HIV, they either have a short, flu-like illness that happens from one to six weeks after infection, or they have no symptoms at all. Even if you do not have symptoms you can still infect other people.
Six to twelve weeks after the infection, HIV can be measured in the blood, and you are HIV positive.
Without treatment, it may take up to nine years for AIDS to develop after the initial infection of the HIV virus.
If you know someone who is worried about being HIV positive, tell them to go to any Health Dept in their state and they can get tested free, even without giving their name.

No. HIV shows up on a test done 13 weeks after infection more than 99 per cent of the time, and nearly always within six months. I've never heard it take as long as 2 years.

However the illness AIDS (rather than the changes detectable on a blood test) can take many years to develop.

Aids can take up to 10 years to show up. If you think you have been exposed you need to have yourself tested and then retested every 6 months to a year for the next ten years.
