It's been said that GREAT MUSIC stands the test of time. All the great 50's and 60's classics are still.... |
Just as good today as the day they were recorded... crack is wack Doesn't everyone rap to the Beatles, rebel. i think it will because it is what we grew up with it'll fade. i think it will fade away...well, hopefully! yes. the good stuff will stand. the bad stuff will fade away just like the crap from the 50s and 60s did. just like with anything else. It's just a fad that will fade away, in the next 30 years or so. I think it will fade away, but then, when it first came out I didn't think it would last, so I was wrong then, I'm probably wrong now. It depends. Not all music from the 60's stood the test of time. All rap music wont, but some will. Tupac jumps to mind simply because he is already a legend and he has a lot of fans who are only getting older. Much as I hate to say it, it's influence will live on. Even Disco made a comeback. I think it'll be around for a while because the country has become "ghettoized". Sadly... the 40 year olds were around when rap started... I'm hoping rap fades away and fast. It is a very bad influence on kids today. More so than other things, like the whole crazy deal with Harry Potter corrupting kids. Check out the language and content of some of the rap music today. Check out the videos. A little more shocking than poor Harry Potter. i hope it will fade, the sooner the better!!!!!! Just this morning I was listening to my NWA CD that first came out in the mid-80's. It's been 20 years, & I'm still listening to it. I don't see myself not liking it in another 20. I think that some rap and hip-hop will hold up. why would a 40 or 50 year old generally need a hearing aid? That was a bad generalization. PLUS, that was an even worse generalization that songs from the '50s and '60s are the best. DOO WOP??? Doo wop is not the best genre of music. And to me, "big girls dont cry" and "wooly bully" are NOT classics. they are funny because they suck. I think rap and hip-hop will remain popular in terms of being associated with poetry slams and things like that.. whether or not it will remain mainstream is disputable, though. Hopefully not. I believe that is Individual taste....not all music of those era's stuck around, except for the people whom listen to it..so I am sure they will have a classic hip hop station for their followers one day Rap is not music. God, I hope not! No because rap/ hip hop and music don't belong in the same sentence. i think you are right, and i think it will fade away as quick as they keep producing it. All they do is make up new sh!t and crank it out like no tomorrow. Who's the new flavor of the week anyway? I haven't watched MTV in years. Old skool rap is classic (Run DMC, LL, old Beasties, NWA) but this new stuff is pathetic. CME2BLEVE, HIPPITY-HOP will change a little and have a diff. name. Thanks have a good afternoon. Jimmy. As of now, rap and hippity-hop will stand the test of time with Eminem, 50Cents, Jay-Z and Linkin Park making waves in the industry. In the near future, anything can happen. The Beatles may have returned its legacy to the 90s and the millenium by storm, but to my surprise, the younger generations are the ones to rope up their albums. fade |
