or do i have 2 get a completly differnt check up done? thanks

he didnt actually specificly send it to check for diseaes
he just sent it to see whats wrong
but if i had un-known diseases would it show

Your doctor would have seen it in your blood count that would have raised a flag if it was AIDS now of course this also depends on the advancement of AIDS. However, if you are concerned about having AIDS then you really need to be tested. They have a specific test for AIDS but it can also be seen in your white blood count if something is going on.

If you want to be tested for AIDS or other STD's you have to request this. It is not done routinely unless YOU ask for it.

No it would not show up if your doctor sent it as a regular blood check. If that's all he did then he just checked your white and red cell count enzymes and such as that. You need to ask your doctor to check your blood for AIDS and otherr viruses then he will have them submitted. All so if you are sexually active it is best to have your blood screened for AIDS and othe infectious diseases once every 6 months. Good luck and you have my best wishes.

THere are specific blood-tests for AIDS and other diseases when doing testing...your M.D. would have to order each test you were looking for, specifically. And, just a note; they usually have to put "why" they are ordering such tests..y'know to "rule-out" certain diseases, test for others, etc...

The actual HIV antibody test is done in three steps. First, a blood or oral (between the gum and cheek) sample is taken and sent to a lab for a test called the ELISA (enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay) If the results of the first test are positive, a second ELISA is done on the same sample. If the second ELISA is also positive, an additional test, called the Western blot done. Physicians can find if antibodies to HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, are present in the body.

get a specific blood test for HIV. If you have the virus only it might not show. It takes for the sickness itself to grow in your system even years... if you are sexually active and not taking precautions, then get an specific HIV test done every six months. And be careful!!!
