How do I tell if I have AIDS?!?!?!?!?!?

I exchanged blood with a kenyan man when we became blood brothers and now I'm scared of having AIDS. How can I tell without getting an awfully scary blood test!!?!?!

You don't even have to get your blood tested.

They just swab the inside of your cheek. I would go have it done, otherwise you are going to sit and worry about this for a long time.

They can't just look at you and say that you have it. They have to examine your blood. It may sound creepy, I've never had one done. But, my friends tell me that they aren't bad.

This is a serious matter.......don't Waite for symptoms to appear.....get a blood test done immediately....and it is not at all scary........you must be more scared of AIDS

A blood test is the only way dude they are kept confidential by your doc it will give you piece of mind.Just go for it

I don't have to tell you that that was a very dangerous decision in this day and age. You need to get a blood test. Doctors are very compassionate about it in general, and it will probably be less scary than you think. You are unlikely to have full-blown AIDS. At the worst, you will be HIV positive. If you have contracted HIV, you may not have symptoms for years, but you will still be contagious, so you need to find out. There are lots of treatment options, and HIV is not the death sentence it used to be. The sooner you know, the sooner you can A) stop worrying or B) start treatment. Good luck! Look at yourself in the mirror. Observe your skin. If you see a very subtle almost unnoticeable grayish tone then you are positive.

Taking a test is the surest and the best way to know.

You need to get a blood test to find out. I have had four since 1990s and nothing scary about it at all. Three times related to surgery and once each time I was pregnant, requirements all 5 times. No big deal, just get it done so that you can finally have peace of mind. You can go to your regular doctor, an emergency clinic or the county health department. Good Luck.

I would have the utmost compassion if it was under circumstances beyond your control, but not so much in this case. Stupid bastard!

Not an expert, but doesn't it take at least a few weeks or months or even years for it to show up on the tests? How long ago did you do this anyway? But yeah, I'd take it anyway to be on the safe side. Hopefully you're not infected though.
