Just an update on the EPT test this morning...?

So per everyone's advice from my previous question I decided to retest this morning... the test was negitive and the feedback on www.peeonastick.com is 100% accurate!

Ladies look there before you buy... twice already I was fooled and bought tests because they were what I thought was decent and each time I was wrong...

From now on I am sticking to the dollar tree tests because they are accurate and easy to read...

I used the Answer test that I got at RITE AID!!! Beware of evap positives! BTW the test that had the slight positive result is still showing it this morning!

Not getting my hopes up I used a digital and it was NEGITIVE!

I'm also very sorry to hear this. I saw your post last night, and everyone agreed- it looked like a faint (but positive) line to us.

I remember a few members asking, including myself, if the faint line/positive result showed up within the time frame that the instructions specified? Did it? Evap lines can show up after the time limit, which is why the boxes/instructions say to read the result within X amount of minutes.

I checked the www.peeonastick.com website for information on the Answer brand tests- I didn't see that they had a problem with a lot of false positives, I saw that they noted disappearing positives, meaning positive results that would occur during the specified timeframe, but then disappear a few minutes or hours later.

If your period still doesn't come within a couple of days, I would suggest a blood test. I noticed that you said you tested again with a digital test, which I would guess was either Cluearblue Easy digital or EPT Certainty (digital) which both have a lower sensitivity than the Answer brand.
According to the peeonastick website,

Answer Quick & Simple Early (your 1st test)= 25mIU/mL
EPT Certainty Digital= 50 mIU/mL
Clearblue Easy Digital= 50 mIU/mL however there is a note at the bottom that says the box says 50, however some phone reps reported a sensitivity of 25

So depending on the brand you used the second time, it may not have been as sensitive as the Answer brand test, and therefore *may* not have been able to register a positive result becasue of it.

I would contact your doctor and ask for a blood test. Those are more accurate because there's no trying to make sence of faint lines or guessing whether it's really true or not, a blood test (quantitative) can give you your EXACT hcg levels.

That sucks, I'm sorry the tests are confusing. Take a ride to your doctors office and maybe they will do a blood test

Yup, I've had two evap lines w/the Answer brand too..sorry bout that I know it's sooo annoying--talk about a rollercoaster ride!! Digital seems to be the way to go.
