Blood Test to get married in Mexico?

Me and my fiance have just booked up to go to Mexico in June 2007 to get married (we are from the UK).

We have been told that there is a compulsory blood test that we will have to have before they will marry us and that if anything comes back positive, they cant marry us.

Can anyone tell me what they test for? Is it just Aids and other STD's or do they test for drugs too? If so, which ones?

Yes you need a blood test in order to proof that you and your partner do not have any STD`s, Aids, incurable, contagious or any "inheritable" deseases. It says literaly:
- Certificado suscrito por m茅dico titulado que asegure, bajo protesta de decir verdad, que los contrayentes no padecen s铆filis, tuberculosis ni enfermedad alguna que sea cr贸nica, incurable, contagiosa o hereditaria.

And i am sure that there is no prohibition of the marriage if you have any of these deseases, but because marriage is a contract you have to know BEFORE you get married if your partner has any of these deseases, because probably if you knew that you would not get married. These are principles of any contract (bona fide etc..)

They do not do directly the blood test, you have to bring your own from your doctor. They do not test you for drugs.
