Why are people afraid of other people with AIDS/HIV?

I don't have AIDS/HIVbecause I get tested everytime I have sex, even if protected, but I have a little couson who was born with it,and kids are scared of her because of it.They dont wanna touch her,talk to her,breath around her,and they don't even look at her.People you have to understand that you won't get AIDS/HIV by someone touching or breathing on you.You get the disease from sex,touching blood from someone who is already affected,and there are some other readons but they're kinda long,but those other catagories involve sex.My cousin is so depressed,its not her fault she was born with it.It's kinda like when straight people make fun of gay people,gay people are human beings so are people with AIDS/HIV.Does anyone agree?

Unfortunately, a lot more people in the world are very uneducated when it comes to HIV. That's the problem. When a person does not understand something, they become afraid. Right or wrong, that's just the way it is.
I hope people around your cousin are showing her a lot of love. She must be very lonely. You might want to see if you can find a support group for her. Good Luck.

Its so sad but really it comes down to simple ignorance.

It's because of the unawareness. People who don't know or teaches their child how's that condition are part of it.

man thats sad! I hope she eventually gets some friends or something,because thats no way to live your life.In depression,she needs to take a stand and explain it to people.Those kids don't understand that they could have aids in there next life to see how bad it feels.
