I am A home Health aid. And I am A registred . Home Health aid. Now. And All I want to know .Is where Can I go to take My test to To Become A Regluar CNA? And A list a places that I can goTo take this test? And the time &Dates That I can takeGo and take this test? Because I live In Hammond indiana. Each state oe department of health in each courty have it's own rules. In most state you might have to take the certifed CNA classes to qualify to take the state boards. The best thing to do is call the Nursing state board ( In the phone book) and ask what the requirments are and what classes you need. Unless something has changed you can't take the test online, it has to be in person. 1 writen exam and 1 day of hands on clinicals. I am a certifided CNA, home health aid, medication certified and wound care certified. I had to go through a cousre for each one except home health aid because I already had my CNA. Calling the nursing boad can give you all the information you need. Also if you do have to take the CNA course, most places that hire CNAs have a free course through them and they will pay for the fees state boards if you agree to work for them for a certain amount of time. But I have seen people take the boards and then leave for better pastures. CNAs are in high demand so almost all places will pay for the boards. I know of no list you can get of the test dates because each state and county is differant and they try to make the test dates when they can get the most poeple to do it in one day. Chances are you are going to have to make a few phone calls to the state and get put on a list and then wait until you get a letter in the mail.

what home health company do you work for? They should be able to tell you where you can take your CNA exam.
Also, contact community colleges in your area.

you can take it at a junior college or check with a retirement home in your area. It might be cheaper for you or even free.
