how much for aids/hiv and std test.... is goin to a clinic cheaper than goin to a real doctor? ps....i live in columbus, OHIO Most Health Departments do the tests for free as well as family planning clinics. Health departments do it for free so do mayn clinics and it is a lot cheaper. If you told me what state and city I can find you a place that does free testing. This depends on if you have any insurance and what your income is. i'm not sure. but i should prob get tested. when you find out give me a hollar. Call the Board of Health for your area. They should administer free HIV tests. You can get it done for free and you can do it anonymously if you want to. Go to redcross.com and they can put you in touch with a local free clinic in your area where you can go and get it done! Good luck! If you go to a local clinic or a "Family Planning"/"Adagio Health" organization they tend to go by your income if you do not have health insurance. A lot of times you can be seen for very little cost or nothing at all. I work in a smaller hospital in Pennsylvania and we run all of our HIV's in house. If it's positive we send it to a reference lab for confirmation. The test itself is around 30.00 plus a 19.00 fee for sticking you. If you go to the clinic it will be all wrapped up into one and you may not have to pay anything. The choice is up to you. In the end the results are the same no matter where you go. |
