Is there a point in a relationship do you ask the opposite sex to get tested for AIDS before u concieve achild |
i think im trying to ask is if you actually ask the other to get a test taken before there is sex? how do you go about this? and could it show up later? or is the test accuate? You know some people get all offended by that, but you know i think its a good idea. I mean alot of people who have it do not even know they do have it and they unintentionally spread it. I think everyone should get tested for it. JMOP and people should be doing it BEFORE they even think of having sex! Um...shouldn't you ask before you even do the deed? I would say the point in the relationship to test for STDs would be before you being sexual relations. you should ask them when you decide you want to have sex with that person and before you engage in any sexual activity with that person. I hope you are not already pregnant or trying to get pregnant! of course you should, regardless if it's offensive or not, this is your health, your partner's health and your future child's health, something like this isn't something you want to throw to the side, but my suggestion is to share our STD status before even engaging in any sexual activity, and to get tested for AIDS, you mean HIV, if your partner has full blown AIDS, you can tell... but HIV you can't, so what you want is to have your partner do an HIV test, not an AIDS test. =) good luck to you both. that point would be before you have sex with him at all, before you marry him. Well, at the beginning of a relationship you can usually use a rubber and don't have to ask the question, but remember that a rubber is far from 100% foolproof. It can break and thus you can end up either pregnant or if the person is HIV positive or has AIDS you can have the possibility of transmission. But, it's sort of difficult to ask someone on the first time you sleep with them as you aren't really sure if this is going to be a true relationship. But, it certainly would be discussed before you get to the point of discussing a child. By that time one would hope you would be in a monogomous relationship and all the cards would be on the table and asking personal questions would not be a problem. I would say that once you have established that this is a relationship you both agree to get yourselves tested, and make a commitment to each other, so by the time it's baby time there are no issues. u both should take the test at the same time so u wont make the other feel like your judging him or her and make them feel guilty that they do have an STD Everyone intentional on having unprotected sexual contact should get tested for HIV...BEFORE they actually have sex. |
