IF you NEVER been tested for aids? |
would you be offended if your significate other sent you information... i didn't send it because i think he's up to no good, but i don't think he realized how bad it is these days Your sexual health is a very important thing. And if sharing information with the one you are with is your way of keeping healthy then good on ya. you should have an honest discuss of your previous sexual activities, and then get tested together... not just for HIV/AIDS, but for all STDs.... He should understand. Especially if you've discussed this matter before. If he doesn't understand how bad it is these days then you should let him know. And inform him of the benefits of being tested for Aids. one day somebody said to me that when she got with a new boyfriend they would both go for all sorts of tests first before they slept together and i think its a really good idea just talk to him It's a good thing to be tested for all STI's. I wouldn't send him info, I would maybe sit down and show him the info and stress how important it is to you. If he does love and respect you, he will get tested. Besides, the test is easy and then you will have peace of mind. He shouldn't be offended but perhaps it would help to explicitly -tell- him you're not asking him to be tested because you fear he's been fooling around. I've never been in that situation before but I sort of suspect that if a SO asked me to be tested for AIDS, I might be at least a -little- worried that he or she was doing so out of concern that I might have been "messing around" or less than honest about my past history ... Why did you just send him something? You should not just send it because he will probably jump to the wrong conclusion about why you are sending it. Tell him about it and ask if he's ever been tested. If he hasn't tell him that its important to you that he does and why you feel that way and if he likes you can go with him and get tested to. This way you'll both know everything is ship shape, no worries. But never just send something with no explaination. |
