Do you think that the book "The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" is appropriate for a 8th grade book report book?

my parents say its fine and i know all about lsd, sex and other drugs. is it appropriate for school?

Depends on how conservative your school is and how conservative your teacher is.

In 8th grade, I read my fair share of books with "adult themes," but actually doing a book report on one of them would have a caused major headache.

My advice is to just ask your teacher directly. You don't even have to name the book, just ask what he/she considers acceptable and what isn't.

It all depends on how you approach it in your report. If you highlight the drugs and sex, that might not be appropriate. But if you highlight the other themes of the book, it would be great.

I'd say yes, it's fine.

Great book btw! You should read "On the Road" next...another good one.
