If AIDS is basically life threatening why doesn't every parent get their children tested for AIDS?

even if they think their child wont have sex. And can you never have sex if you have AIDS?

you can have sex when you have AIDS but it had better be protected with a condom, and you should probably be extra careful and make sure your partner knows beforehand that you are HIV+ and that they are taking a risk by having sex, even while protected with a condom.

why would you get your child tested for AIDS if you didnt think they were at risk? i mean, if you thought YOU were at risk for HIV or AIDS and you were pregnant, i would hope you would get tested to ensure your childs safety, but if you know there is no chance you are positive for AIDS or HIV, then why go through the hassle? and why test them randomly as they get older just to "check" to make sure they are still clean? its kind of an invasion of their personal health, in my opinion. as a parent, i would think it is better parenting to be open with your child and inform them of the problem of AIDS in the world today and how to prevent it, how it is spread etc, and just hope to god that they make good decisions.
