Would you make love to a guy or girl if they had AIDS?

If the answer is no, then why would you have sex before being married and tested? Before marriage you have time to get to know the person and the person's health history. And speaking of tests, did you know if you are tested for AIDS today and the test came out ok, you can still have it because of the incubation period? You have to be tested again in six months or so. And did you know that condoms can break off and they often do? And did you know that a girl can become pregnant before the male "finishes" because some sperm can leak out? If you have multiple partners, did you know that you may catch a disease that has no cure even with condom? Skin diseases such as some forms of tuberculosis, scabbies, etc. So why do young people have sex before marriage and being properly tested. Are they nuts? What do you think

I am not going to be some pocket protector-wearing nerd and analyze every little thing in life that might be a threat to my existence.

I wear a condom when I have sex. Granted, it's not fool-proof, but it's better than nothing, and unlike you, I'm not yet ready to live my life in a bubble, afraid of everything around me.

I got to know my boyfriend for awhile before we did anything. We were both virgins and none of us had any history of AIDS or whatever. It's been a year and five months together, and we still love each other and he wouldn't lie to me about something as grave as this. Nor would I lie to him.

Now your main question. If my boyfriend were to suddenly catch AIDS from, I don't know, being around someone else with an open cut and he catches it...I'd still make love to him. Because although he has AIDS, I truley believe he is my life partner, and something as grave as AIDS isn't going to stop me from expressing my love toward him. If anything, I'll be glad to die with him, by his side.

Yes, AIDS can lay dormant for years before become noticed. Yes a women can get pregnant if she and her mate doesn't wear condoms b/c sperm has a way of seeping out during intercourse and yes condoms can prevent pregnancy and diseases, but it's not a guarantee that it will always prevent b/c there is a chance that the condom will break. And I agree with you but also you have to think about the fact that married people lie too about their previous parterners or lifestyles. Also AIDS or HIV can lay dormant, but what if you do meet someone, fall in love, and get married but you or your mate didn't know that they had it? So really it's not always about getting married it's about protecting yourself and gaining knowledge about not only yourself but about your mate too. But still I like your message and I think that people do need to stop "hooking up" with people that they don't know b/c AIDS, HIV, Pregnancy, and all other STD's are not a game, thousands of people die each year of just being plan ignorant about themselves. But also a person can not live in a bubble for the rest of their life, I am not married; I am engaged and my finance and I have sex all the time and I am not ignorant when it comes to myself nor is he.. we take the proper precautions

I had sex, because I was in love and engaged! I was his first, and he was my first. I would never have sex with anyone, before knowing them very well, and if I found out they had AIDS/HIV, no I wouldn't have sex with them.
