The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test is not so much a "story" as it is a "biography" the "Merry Pranksters" and of the early days of the musically-important but God-awful boring band, "The Grateful Dead", who formed out of the motley crew traveling on a bus with the man who developed the drug "acid" along with Ken Kesey (who wrote "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (wonderful book, so-so movie), and a bunch of other drugged-up old hippies.

You should read it, but you shouldn't take any "lesson" it teaches you too seriously...your liver deserves better than that!
