Should doctors be required to release the names of patients who test positive for AIDS and why? I would say yes... although i can understand someone wanting this to be a private matter...the fact of the matter is allot of people, were seeing this more and more, are not caring that they are hiv positive or having full blown aids and will not tell there partners they have it. Allot are even going down to the lowness of purposley infecting multiple partners with the deadly disease. Thats hard to say really. Its good how they have it now because that is a very sensitive thing; majority of people want that confidential. No, would you want any part of your medical history announced to the general public. It is each persons responsibility to make their potential sexual partner prove they have no STDs of any sort. ASK. I do. Most testing centers give cards that say that you are clean....or not. Make the person get tested and show you the results. If they care about you they will do it, if they dont do it, then DONT DO IT. |
