Are AIDS Tests Given to People When They Are Released From Prison?

I'm not sure about this issue, but it would make since to me that people who do serious (and maybe not so serious) time in prison should take an AIDS test when or before they are released. Is this something that the government provides? Thanks in advance for your mature answers.

I believe when a criminal is processed through the prision, they go through their physcial history with the doctors there. At that time, I believe they are tested for any diseases for their safety along with the safety in mind for the other inmates.
I can't remember where I read this but I have spoken with people who have gone through this process.
