Would You Ever Consider Having A Routine Test For Aids&STDS Done For You And Your Spouse?

I'm not married, but i've often wondered about that when I hear about situations where one has cheated, and then the spouse ends up contracting something from them. I'm not saying it should be done, but i'm just asking do people do this? Is it disrespectful to even consider such a thing? In a perfect world, you wouldn't have to, but everyone is human.....

Of course.. There is no reason not to in these days of 'safe sex' even if someone is faithful, how do you know where they've been before you? Have you ever had unprotected sex with a partner before him?

If you get married, then you probably want life insurance, when I got mine a cheek swab to test for AIDS was required to get the policy. I was not very worried, but getting the negative result was nonethless reassuring. Of course if it comes back positive, that is awful, but you are better off knowing about it than not right?

no , that is a smart thing to do . its only a little blood they use to check it out

I donate blood every few months so I am test then

No...
If I caught my spouse cheating and decided to forgive & keep her, I would demand she get a STD / Aids test.....

Since trust is such a major part of marriage, most couples go into a marriage never even considering the idea that their spouse might cheat. If a spouse felt that their husband/wife should be tested, they have big trust issues.

Well..This is easy.. If someone cheats on you I feel you have every right to ask them to get tested, I don't feel it is disrespectful to ask them, I think it is disrespectful that they would cheat on you in the first place, I would do it, and I would ask someone to do it if they Cheated...Why should I suffer for there mistakes????

I am married and have not only considerate it I have it done
my husband was my 2nd sexual experience and my second marriage I had no intention to catch something that will take me away for my children
we both done the tests he had told me in advance that he had done it before but I was not with him than
so we tough since we were discusting of having children together we want to make sure we were both OK
it is not disrespectfull it is the opposite

i get tested every march, as a gift to myself for my birthday.
science isn't exact. they don't know how long things can live in a body before they explode into something.
i'm sure they can guess...but science is often changing as they "progress" further. i don't trust it that much and since i spent my younger years as a drunk slut i do it for peace of mind.

YES MY HUSBAND AND I ALWAYS GET TESTED HE IS IN THE MILITARY AND I DONATE BLOOD. SO WE ARE AIDS FREE AND DISEASE FREE.BUT IT IS A VERY GOOD I DEA.

I am married and I get tested because you never know. And it's not disrespectful because of the world we live in today people are trifling even the ones we love the most.

good question, i wished now that we would have ,because my wife cheated with this really weird dude, hope i haven,t got anything ,because i know what he,ll get

Not only have we considered it, we have done it. All is well and we do not have to worry about 'other' issues. (Test was done ten years ago for anyone who may be wondering.)

It's a great thing to do even when you're married. After all married people do cheat.

It is not necessary as routine.
If you are going out often for sex with anyone and everyone, then it is necessary.
Before entering into wedlock, for the first time, better undergo these tests.
You need not consider these check ups as Taboo.
