Why did you take the AIDS blood test? Were you nervous of the result? |
Why did you take the AIDS blood test? Were you nervous of the result? I took it because my past behaviours were risky. i took it only because i took care of someone with it. i took all precautions in his care so i wasnt afraid at all to be tested. and it was negative!! I use to go to the health dept and get them every 3 months. They would give you an excuse for being absent from school that day. I was always clean, I was never nervous b/c when I use to get them I wasn't sexually active so I knew I wouldn't have it. Now when I had my 1st son he was premature and one of the nurses accidently stuck herself after giving him a shot and they had to test me and my son for everything. That made me nervous waiting. I guess I was more nervous b/c I knew if I had something my child would too. I took it just about three weeks ago, because I just found out there was a possibility my bf had cheated although there was no proof and he swears he didn't I still had to make sure I didn't get anything. I just got the results and they were negative thank god! It was very scary waiting for it, I was completely nervous. Don't be nervous. Think positive! no reason 2 B .... unless U B doin' sumptin' NAASSSTTeee I had a HIV test because I was sick for about a month and lost a **** load of weight (This turned out to be seroconversion). The hospital thought it was the flu but my doctor suggested a full STD check. when i take the test which is every 6 mos, I'm not worried because I alway use protection. It's just better to be safe the sorry. I took it because I was told to by my hospital consultants. I had swollen glands for about a year and a crappy immune system. They thought I had HIV or cancer. I had neither (which was obviously good, though they never worked out why I have had swollen glands for so long) but I wasn't really nervous. I guessed that if I had it, there was nothing I could do about it and it was better to know then not, so no need to panic. I took a Rapid Oraquick test, which I got the results within 20 minutes. I work currently in a kitchen environment and sometimes people have been known to cut themselves while cutting up food - as precaution for me, if I come in contact with any blood while trying to help the injured person. I make it a point to go to my local health department and get tested promptly. My last test was October 2007, six months after possible exposure - I do it for my benefit, along with my co-workers and family. sometime yes I aske God forgive me for sinner |
