If it is not against the law in your area, they will give you one It might depend on what state you live in. In Oregon where I live you don't need to. There are local clinics all over now that are low cost and are confidential. Even if the person is your mom or dad the clinic cannot share any information without written consent from you. Ask your health care provider if indeed you need a parent there. Chances are you wont need one at all. the doctor has aids home testing that you can do your self. Probably not. Even if laws wherever you live say you need a parent, there is almost certainly a public service or STD clinic that will offer free "anonymous" testing services. Anonymous testing means they give you a number instead of taking your name and you can be tested for free no matter who you are. (Home and instant tests are available but aren't as accurate as 2-week blood tests.) I'm not sure but like someone stated, it depends on what your state laws are. I would think that it would be totally confidential, so you should not need a parent with you. Try a local AIDS Ctr. for free testing or a County free clinic. No it is all 100% confidential.
