How quickly to get AIDS/ STD test?

In the past 3 days while under the influence of alcohol I had unprotected sex. I am now worried about having contracted an STD. How quickly would I be able to go take a test for STD's and find out if I am infected? I have also never had one before. Where can I get one and how much might it cost and how long until I get the results?

You can take a test fairly quickly through your doctor or local health dept. But...since this is a recent thing, they'll have you come back at 3-6 month intervals for re-testing...STD's usually have to incubate for awhile before they can be detected.
