What if my boyfriend ask me to have an aids test is it normal or insulting?

he was my chat and hes interested in me and he wants to see me and i love him too and if something happens to us he wants us to me to have aids test, do u think its normal, i am confused

No, you both should have an aids test. Id say hes a very smart guy and I have alot of respect for him.

I'm not sure it's normal, but it certainly is the smart thing to ask these days.

If he wants you both to have an aids test it's normal.
If he wants only you to have an aids test it's insulting.

I think that's pretty insulting. For some reason he thinks you have aids. But, a test would be safe for both of you.

It's very normal.. maybe he's afraid of getting the disease and would rather be safe than sorry..
don't feel bad or worry.. he's not saying, "oh you look like some floozy girl from the streets who's always getting herself all these guys and plays around!" he's just wanting to be sure..

hey i guess its pretty normal, my ex gf had told me to do it once, i came out clean, then i told her to do the same, she too cam out clean, and 3 months later, we broke up...lol

He has no idea what your past sexual history is. Remember.. whomever you have slept with, he will sleep with...especially if you are on the pill, and don't use condom's. He's probably just looking out for himself..... Perhaps he should get one too as you don't know his past sexual history either.

If you have had sex before, you should both be tested for HIV. Results are more accurate at least 60 days after the last time, so if it has been less you may want to get retested later.

If he said let us go for an AIDS test together, that would be him protecting the both of you but if he said have an Aids test, could be he doesn't trust you or he's a jerk.

why don't u suggest you both go and get tested together. I think in this day and age it is responsible to know beforehand then after when its too late. You can tell if someone is infected or not its not like a sign so really if you want to be intimate with him like that then yeah go for it. Also though he should be aware there are other things out there too that can are bad too like syphilis. Either way he should get tested with u you jsut never know. Either that or get him to wear a condom.

its a smart thing to do nowadays cuz' you dont know what could happen. unless he only wants YOU to have a test. Then its insulting.

It is normal. It is good for both of you. It helps to prove yourself, your integrity and also if you are not for premarital sex then it help you to withdraw very politely.

If you hardly know this man and are meeting 4 the first time, i think its none of his bussiness.But if you see a future for you two than i believe its important. Aids is a diease which can effect your spouse and your children, so i believe to play safe and for you both to go together to get check up-ed. It's normal.

He is just being careful. He does not know your previous lifestyle, and he wants to be sure that you do not have an STD. I asked a guy i was dating one time for him to get tested because I knew that years before I knew him, he had done intravenous drugs.

Then go on with it only if he agrees to do it as well. If not, dump the guy..

Be careful...why do you want to have a test to maybe have sex with someone if you have only met them in a chat room and not in person? No one can really be in love without meeting someone and people can more easily tell lies online than in person. And they could easily dump you after they get what they want. I wouldn't even consider the test or sex if you have never met them in person or spent some time going out on dates (ie movies, dinners, state fairs, etc). If he won't spend time getting to know you and spend money taking you out, then he will probably quickly drop you once he gets the sex, because he is not willing to spend money or time getting to know you first.

In any case, he should take the test too and SHOW you his results.

He sounds lijke he is a very responsible person and in todays world you can't be careful enough. I wouldn't take it as an insult just that he is being responsible.
