Aids in the gay community/vs straight community.?

Do you think that aids could be be stopped if people stopped having anal sex? I know they says its big in the gay community. I don't think it has anything to do with sexual orientation. This is because there are lot of guys out there who consider themselves to me heterosexual but have done sexual acts with other guys. Its really the mode of transmission. When people would mention that it was only a gay thing that makes it sound like there are people who are completely gay or completely straight that gay people have a different immune system then straight people. Instead of dealing with putting a penis inside of a butt and wearing a condom that could still break, just use a strap on. Don't swallow sperm.

Lets see ways to avoid getting/giving aids,
Don't insert needles in your skin (only a doctor or nurse should do this).
Don't do blood sisters
Don't swallow seminal or vaginal fluid.
If you know you have it, don't have sex with anybody unless they already have it.

If you know somebody that has it don't let their penis in your vagina, ***, or mouth. Only kiss them, wear gloves when giving a hand job, and wear a finger condom if jacking off.

I think we have spent way too much time educating the gay community about HIV/Aids, yet have spent way too little time educating the Heterosexuals. It's very sad to say, but it's true...The gay community knows the risks, but we need to spread the word for the straight folks too.

It's about even now - and it doesn't always have to do with anal sex, although the rectum is very delicate and has a rich blood supply, which is why anal sex is more risky than any other sexual activity.

Oddly enough, HIV neg men rarely get the virus from HIV positive women if they have straight vaginal sex - but the opposite is not true. Again, the mucus membranes of the vagina are far more susceptible to infection and so the possibility of exposure is far higher if a condom isn't used.

One word of caution, of course - condoms often fail and aren't risk free. Plus, people who share needles for drug use sometimes don't know the health history of the others they share with - when someone wants to get high, they don't care about anything else.

I sometimes climb on my soapbox and say that if everyone would stop jumping into bed with everyone they meet, the incidence of ALL STDs would decrease dramatically and within a very short time. Unfortunately - humankind is too stubborn and pleasure hungry to abide by that very simple idea.

AIDS will stop when people who are HIV positive stop having sex with non-HIV positive people. Orientation is of no consequence.
