Now, not trying to offend anyone on purpose believe me, but I dont quiet understand this. Why do?

afro-americans, or black people or whatever label humans in one race the human race, want to put on themselves, seem to constantly refer to the "struggle"? I have researched college entries and Job opportunities and found that black americans get so much more financial aid and are not even required to have some of the same qualifications that a non black person must have to qualify for a govt job. they get most of their college paid for and if they have a baby they get free housing while they go to school. So most if not all college is paid for, free housing if you are a single mother going to school, and not required to meet all standards set for most Govt jobs and thats considered struggling? I dont get it? It seems it set up that if you dont get what you want u cry racism and you get red carpet treatment. Maybe people are people and will become lazy and indifferent if given much opportunity. so to you young black male acting like they aint no work wake up and take the opportunity!

Sounds like you understand it to me. The only thing you didn't say is that without their block vote nobody could remember who the last democrat president was (Truman?)

Give it about 100 years, we will all be the same race! lol

black people, this pre occupation and obsession, with our race is the validation we need that we are making huge progress in america. celebrate my brothers and sisters and let us make merry

What struggle? are you struggling?

I don't know any young black men that think "they aint no work" as you stated so grammatically beautiful. Anyway, before you lump all black people into one category you might want to actually ASK and do some research into exactly what they mean when they reffer to " the struggle". For some people of all colors it is emotional, physical, or even, financial. And I never cry racism if I don't get what I want, I work for mine thank you. I pay for my education and anything else I want.
I bet you are one of those people that think that affirmitive action is pushing a white man out of a job so an under qualified black man can get it aren't you? Again, do some research and find out the real deal before you go generalizing people and things.

Good job on not sounding offensive, *****.

That's an excuse some black people make to support the arguement that society is to blame for there being so little opportunity among the poorer classes and areas in this country. I believe this is true in some cases, but I do not use that in a generalization, as you have. And I understand why you would take this position, having never felt what it is like to be a minority. But understand that just living in a society that is as intolerant, to more than just black people, as this country, is a struggle in itself. You see, you are one of those "black people must pick themselves up by the bootstraps" kind of white people that claim not to be racist, and though you may not be, it doesn't make you all that noble by reminding us poor minorities that we have opportunities. Education is what is MOST important, and still the one opportunity that is not equal to all. Higer education is different, what good would it do if young black men don't graduate high school? If you have any doubts, just check the differences between inner city or prodominately black public school systems, and their white counterparts. I too believe that a person is ultimtimately responsible for the direction their life takes, but be careful what you assume you know about struggle.

they were slaves a few generations back and it will take a while for them to get equal with most whites, but they have made great strides, and i am all for them
the government has helped them a good bit ,.but your right all people should be helped not just one minority.

What one calls our race depends on the person. I personally prefer african american cause its pretty obvious that my people are not black. Now to answer your question. When a african american refer to the struggle it could mean a number of things. You seem to forget this is america a country with so much history in racism that it still goes on in this generation, its just not as obvious today as it was lets say 60 years ago, and further back, but its there. Things like stereotyping, racial profiling by the police, and some peoples preconceived notions of what and how african american are can hinder us from getting a well deserved job, its happened to me before. Things like being loud, stupid, uneducated, poor, violent, lazy, our women ignorant hoe's and *****'s with too many kids that the father don't take care of. I mean my dear the list goes on and on and on, and none of that crap is true. That is some of the struggle that my people are talking about. What you mentioned really has nothing to do with the kind of struggling my people go through daily. I command you for asking that eventhough it had a racist undertone to it, but its ok cause you wouldn't know what its like cause your not african american. Plus don't believe everything you read and or hear I learned that when I was kid.

P.S Keep the questions coming thats the only way you'll leaen.

Your FALSE ACCUSATION (so brazenly
and condescendingly presented in the
form of a "question") is filled with nothing
more than offensive and broad-brushed
stereotypes and reeks of utter racism.

What you are stating is simply NOT TRUE.

Where did you even get your information
'Lyndon LaRouche'? 'The John Birch
Society'? or perhaps some other
partisan and divisive group?

Your post is pathetic,
victim-minded and racist.

Get over it -- more people have
benefited from "white privilege"
than have all the minority groups
throughout American history.

Show us PROOF of your (obviously
FALSE and assumption-based)
accusations and conclusions.

Of course, you can't do so because
what you are saying is simply untrue.

For the truth about the lives of the
African-Americans people should
read the book that is entitled:

"Don't Believe the Hype:
Fighting Cultural Misinformation
about African-Americans"

(written by CNN & Meet the
Press Anchor 'Ferai Chideya')

Is this problem a secret. No matter what we do, there is usually a white person above calling the shots. The pressure to be absolutely perfect at all time in order not to compromise what ever we achieve, gets draining. All the hoops and stipulations to get and keep qualifiying for various things is too much too. White people are always watching us under a high powered microscope. One slip up and they start talking. Then we're back at square one. Once you mess up, you don't qualify for alot of things. this causes the " I don't give a FFFF" attitude. Haven't you heard of welfare reform? Housing comes with it's own qualifications. I don't work for the govt, so i don't know about the qualifications. Most financial services are not exclusive to blacks. I really feel for my black men. They know what they are talking about. it's not that there are NO jobs, but who wants to work for the laundry folding service for minimum wage? How can you feed yourself, not to mention a family on that? If you have to work a million hours to make a little change, when do you have time for school? If you are not black, there is no way to know what it is really like. The first lady said herself, racism is doesn't exist anymore. It is sooo easy to look at what sombody else should be doing. Knowing their situation can change your veiw all together.
