Is it better to cover your Cold sores to prevent infection or just leave it like that? |
I got cold sores in the corner of my mouth after seeing a dentist.......I was using abreva but the little bottle is almost gone and the sores are still there. So I bought Lysine+ and hopefully this one helps......My question is, when I'm working, should I cover my cold sores with band-aid (doesn't look urgly?) or leave it in the air with the treatment on?? HELP!!!!!!!! Another question is that should I wash the treatment off everytime I put new stuff on?? If I do, useing warm, hot, or cold water??? There is this product that you can buy on line called, Viroxyn. It's expensive but it makes the cold sore go away sooner. You can wear a band aid if you want to, but your face might have an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the band aid. If you get cold sores on a regular basis, Lysine pills help if you take them daily. I also used olive leaf extract and that helped me as well. You can buy the olive leaf extract at Whole Foods, or at a GNC. |
