Cold sores????

I got cold sores in the corner of my mouth after seeing a dentist.......I was using abreva but the little bottle is almost gone and the sores are still there. So I bought Lysine+ and hopefully this one helps......My question is, when I'm working, should I cover my cold sores with band-aid (doesn't look urgly?) or leave it in the air with the treatment on?? HELP!!!!!!!!

Another question is that should I wash the treatment off everytime I put new stuff on?? If I do, useing warm, hot, or cold water???

Leave it out in the air. Everyone gets cold sores and will think nothing of it.
Putting a band aide on it will draw unnecessary attention to it; while not covering it won't.

I just got braces put on & 2 days later, first cold sore ever popped out! First I thought it was an allergic reaction since I have sensitive skin. I don't know what to do either. Report It

They need air to assist in healing. My boyfriend gets these and also uses abreva I have never heard of LYstine+ but they do need air to help heal. If over the counter meds do not help a doctor could prescribe something that works well and assist in a fast healing time.
