Baby cradle cap, needle advice of what to use? |
Alright, they say to use baby oil I have try it.. let it set for 10 mins.. and comb it out and it doesn not bunge. I know theres like a treatment for baby natural something... which my rite aid dont carry it. And theres no another stores around here...Is there anything else besides using oil and that treatment? My baby is 3 months and 2 weeks. My little one had cradle cap, just a bit of it, and I started with baby oil and found it didn't realy do anything, so I started using the Johnsons baby lotion, and it worked, I would just rub it on her head and then brush it out and it cleared up in just a couple of days and its made for babys, I would stay clear of adult shampoos, Im sure that would irrate your babys skin big time, and burn if it gets in their eyes. My daughter had this problem. My doc recommended using a small amount of Head and Shoulders Shampoo. I a applied it with a soft toothbrush. It got rid of it. I had to do it maybe twice. I'd be careful not to put anything on it that isnt recommended for babies.. like some adult shampoos :) It could irritate the scalp! I did the baby oil thing.. massaged it into the scalp and with a Lice comb.. it came out. It was the comb that made the difference. Good Luck :) I suggest you keep trying the baby oil and a baby comb, not brush. Gently rub the oil into the baby's scalp. It should generally work over a period of time. We use a light application of 1% hydrocortisone during the day and with her bath's our pedi reccommended we use a small dab of dandruff shampoo (head&shoulders works for us trial/travel size will last a loong time in a baby) Then be sure to stimulate the scalp a couple times a day, by brushing hair. use a mixture of baby shampoo and dandruff (selsum blue). I did it with my little one and it worked My daughter has cradle cap too (she is 3 months). I asked my doctor if there was anythign I could do to get rid of it, and he told me no. He said that it just needs to come off. He recommended me just scratch it lightly (not hard, barely touching it) everyday to get the lose stuff off. He said that it doesn't hurt the baby and I should just let it run it's course. Before you put the baby oil in, rub it in your hands til warm, then apply it to baby's scalp. Then take an infant hairBRUSH, and and ever so gently , use circular motions, where the cradle cap is. Then comb through to the ends of the hair. Both my girls had it, REALLY THICK. This was the only thing that helped. It might take a few days of doing this, but it deos work. I have 2 kids (4 years and 4 months). They had 2 different pediatricians and both of them said to use head and shoulders shampoo or Neutragena T-Gel. We used the latter and it worked great. |
