Since the pope won't allow birth control, how many abortions is he realistically responsible for every year? |
I think this is an interesting question because it only applies to a certain kind of person. Roman Cathloics who are willing to follow the churches rules regarding birth control, but when it comes down to it, turn around and get abortions. I understand this policy is based on a religious text but those are reintrepretated all te time. Surely he could fine some sort of loop hole. I never understood why the anti-abortion people are also anti-birth control AND pro-death penalty. Isn't that killing too? If they promoted birth control there would be a lot less abortions. Birth control is especially important in the poor countries where they keep on having babies who then die from aids or starvation. I agree with you. He should take some responsibility. Thousands I guess. What's even funnier is that the Church (back in the 10th or 11th Century) allowed it to occur before a certain date, so it's all dogma at this point no one is responsible for anyone having sex!!!! You cannot blame the Church if YOU choose to follow one rule but not another. I am a Catholic and I have not had nor would I ever have an abortion. He is responsible for no abortions. I am not Catholic but the RCC does not have a monopoly on morality my friend. The Pope is not responsible for any abortions. The Church does not teach that, and you know it. You would think that common sense would prevail. Apparently not. The person who gets the abortion is responsible. The Catholic Church has always and will always promote abstinence outside of marriage. Sex was designed by God but intended to be reserved for marriage between a man and woman. When you preach abstinence, its hard to promote birth control at the same time. At any rate, the responsibility for any abortion is not with the Pope but the woman who made the decision to have sex and the decision to end the life of the person now maturing inside her. None. Very few Catholics abort Right (?) Zero, unless he has a secret life that we know nothing about. The pope isn't the person who's getting people pregnant. People are responsible for their own actions. Ultimately, people are responsible for their own actions. So no, the pope is not responsible for any abortions that he himself does not perform. However, he is responsible for creating a situation in which people are forced to choose between going to hell in the afterlife and living in hell on this earth. He is responsible for pressuring people into doing things that they don't want to do and that may even be harmful to them and their families. When a woman is told by her church that she is to obey her husband and to have unprotected sex with him whenever he wants, that church is creating an intolerable situation. There comes a point where it may well be economically impossible to support another child. There may come a point at which having another child is dangerous or even deadly to the woman involved. At this point, the pope is responsible not only for pushing these people into a corner where some type of sin is the only option, he is responsible for hurting the very people he is supposed to love and protect. Yes it is fair to blame the Pope. And I assume he is responsible for over a billion murders of the innocents every year. Bet he'll be burning in Hell. The Church does allow birth regulation, but only by morally acceptable means. The Church fully supports and guides married couples who find it necessary to postpone or space the birth of children. No-one is responsible for an abortion except the woman who decides to get one, the man who may be pushing her into it against her will rather than act like a man and face his responsibilities, and the abortion industry which tries to alleviate her fears so she will sign on the dotted line, even if it means a lifetime of pain and guilt for her afterwards. if the catholics are so devoted as u stated above and there not using birth control what makes u think that their having abortions....I'm sure some do and I'm also sure that some also use birth control |
