Research shows preventive effects of cannabinoids (Marijuana ) on Alzheimer's disease

You are absolutely right 100%!!!! Also, it should be noted that recent research has conclusively demonstrated that not only does marijuana NOT cause lung cancer, there is actually a decreased incidence of lung cancer in marijuana smokers that is LOWER than even non-smokers. I believe you can find that info at the NORML site... http://www.norml.org

didn't read that

but, YES!

Yes it can. It helps take pain away, and you don't have to smoke it, or eat it, to make it be effective.

Absolutely YES!!! I have a chronic pain condition, and am on disability. I have had to travel all across the country for all kinds of treatments and surgeries. If only I could try this to see if it would help without the fear of punishment. I am in so much pain all the time an there is nothing I can do that hasn't already been tried but failed. I already take so many pills, that have so many side effects. I would do anything to try this!!!

As an LPN having worked on a oncology(cancer) floor, I have seen firsthand the benefits of medical marijuana in cancer patients. It stimulates the appetite, it eases anxiety, and it helps make pain medication work a little better. Basically, THC given in pill form makes life a little easier for cancer patients, especially those who are terminal. Medically, I'm for it in pill form.

Im sure it has medicinal properties as many people have professed and i do not see the harm in giving it to terminally ill patients or to those which other meds can work for.

Even vaporized the drug that gets people "high" is still there I would be worried about people driving in that state, cause there is no laws for it, right now it would create a loophole.

Officer it is legal for me to use this because of my condition, its medicine. The effects of it tho makes it as the person is driving drunk, any kinda of operation of tools, equipement, even to house hold cooking could be bad and cause harm to the user and those around.

Hell yeah! This guy's got the right idea. My... uh... leg hurts. Time to get baked!

But in all honesty I think it's just as legitimate as a painkiller as opiates.

Also used for glaucoma patients, takes the pressure off the eye.

What's the difference in abusing this drug vs abusing legal 'scripts. Some people are gonna do it.

I work with cancer patients in a hospital, sometimes even the strongest pain killers do nothing for the pain, especially bone cancer.

Yes my mother had problems eating following a stroke and was prescribed it to regain her appetite. The version they gave her though was in pill form. I believe marijuana should be legalized for recreational use as well. All the war on drugs has succeeded in doing is overcrowding every jail in America and wasting money. Education is the answer not prohibition.

The word "DRUG" in and of itself implies medicinal qualities in a substance.. satisfactory research?

cannabinoids seem to have antitumor proporties (which explains the lack of evidence for cancer)

THC is a bronchial dilator and can help clean the lungs

certain cannabinoids have been found to be neuroprotectants against excitotoxicity and thus a good preventative against degenerative disorders like alzheimers

some studies point to enhancement of particular types of memory as a result of pot use

I have never tried it but you can bet your sweet booty I would if I could because my osteoarthritis is killing me.Litterally.Did you notice how I spelled LITTERally?I feel like something a cat covers up.

depends, only in cali, but as far as i'm concerned it's still an illegal drug. it can get you time in the slammer. so make wise decisions.

Thats all well and good if you have a prescription, otherwise its against the law. Its that simple.
