I need info on the following drugs, stavir-15, lamivir, ziagen.?

We are in Zambia, working with a 7 year old with AIDS whose CD4is at 79. Is there anything nutritionally alon with the antivirals that may help with her treatment? Her family is very poor so we are limited on what is available.

- Stavir-15 is a Medicine from CIPLA available in India. The drug name is Stavudine and available as 15/20 mg capsules.
-Lamivir is also medicine from CIPLA. This drug act by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase of HIV, and by terminating the growth of the DNA chain. Its the combinatin of Lamivudine and Stavudine and available as 40mg/150mg capsules.
- Ziagen(Abacavir) is a medicine from GlaxoSmithKline and used to treat HIV realated infections.

In order to prolong the life off the 7 year old first he or she should be on arvs immediatly. Also seek medical advice for oppotunistic infections and please look around for localy available traditional food stuffs most of them form a good basis of a balanced diet.On the above drugs-these is combination that is used 4 treatment for AIDS.Once u start using them u use them the rest of your life.4 more information vist the nearest goverment health facilty 4 advice
