Daughter with a plantars wart?

My 8 year old daughter has had a plantars wart on the ball of her foot now for about 5 or 6 months. We have done the Compound W treatment ( which worked for the most part) it kept gelling up on me though in the bottle. We have done the other over the counter methods also. We can't get band-aids to stick to the bottom of her foot. We also have taken her to the family doctor for the freezing treatment twice. That shrinks it down for about 2 days then it is bigger than when we went in to get it done. Has anyone on here had a similar problem and what did you end up doing to get rid of it? I have made an appointment with the foot specialist to see if they can do anything. I am just looking for some relief for her until then. Any help would be appreciated.

Oh those hurt so bad! I'm so sorry! There is nothing you can do until you get to the foot specialist, and he will probably "dig" it out. She'll feel so much better after it's out! Good luck

My seven year old had the same problem, except she had 5 total on both of her feet. What turned out to be a mother daughter day at the salon with a manicure and a pedicure, gave her plantar warts, a wart on her finger, and one on her upper lip ( I assume from touching her face with the infected finger). I took her to a podiatrist for the plantar warts. He gave me a prescription for a roll on gel that dried up the warts and at the next two appointments he scraped them off with a razor. Thankfully, they didn't need to be dug out. If she is experiencing pain, I would use the circle padded discs that are included with the Compound W foot treatment. They stick really well and protect the wart and her foot from pain. Good luck!

You have done about all you can do. My sister had this problem as a child, and the wart had to be removed surgically. Crutches may be the most helpful thing at this time.

Try this method of removing warts with vinegar...it works for me!
