I always have earache. My hearing is going i cant hear very well dint want to have hearing aid please help me?

My ear is always hurting idont wish to have hearing aid ..is ther any other option or any other treatment for my ear ?please help me as i work in school with younger children.

Most conditions of the ear that are painful are treatable with either antibiotics or minor surgery.

If you are losing your hearing as well it may be a wax build-up or, more likely, congestion behind your eardrum in your middle ear, a condition very common in children (glue ear). If this is the case you may need to have grommets put in (a very simple operation).

Permanent hearing losses for which the only option is a hearing aid are usually (but not always) caused by damage to the inner ear and would not be painful.

You need to ask your GP to firstly check for anything obvious, like wax, if not then to refer you to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. Its extremely, extremely unlikely, but if you have a cholesteatoma the consequences can be serious

what? say that again........................ pardon?

We really can't help you here, you must go to your doctors to have it looked at, and he will tell you what is wrong

You may not need a hearing aid, what you do need is to see your doctor.
It could be something that can be treated, not all ear problems result in having to wear a hearing aid.

A course of antibiotics or a minor op may be in order.

Good luck

you may have an infection, an inner ear infection can be very painful, you need to see you doctor,ASAP to sort it out, as you dont want it to get any worse.

You could be glued up with wax, a quick syringe will do it, better than an orgasm.

If you do not have an ear infection or a ruptured eardrum (I assume you've checked this out), this may be caused by your temporomandibular joint (TMJ) being out of place. If you feel this is your case, please see a dentist to find out more about TMJ Disorder, or go to http://www.tmj.org. TMJ Disorder can cause one-sided head pain, hearing loss, and dizziness.

A build up of wax could be the problem. Best get it chacked out by the Dr's thou as they know more than me. But if it is that, put warm olive oil in each ear at night for a week and then see what comes out. If it needs syringing thy'll get you to do that beforehand anyway as it softens it up.

Not sexy, but effective!

Could be as simple as an accumulation of ear wax, which tends to give you the feeling of losing your hearing. It can also cause pain. There could also be a foreign object in your ear. Without the doctor checking you wont know one way or the other. Make that appointment before it affects your ability to do your job.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and if you have pain it is not a hearing aid you need but medical attention.I suggest you see your Dr, Problems with ears can be serious. They are in direct line with your brain via the cochlea coil

all i could say is don't rule hearing aids out , they make some micro ones now , you wouldn't be able to tell? its better than loosing your job?
