Why do people who do nothing to aid to US productivity think they deserve Free medical Treatment?

Using that logic the same would be true for food, housing, utilities and even owning stocks and bonds.

Because now days people expect the government to give them everything. It seems people have forgotten what Kennedy said, "Ask not what your country can do for, ask what you can do for your country." or yourself. The work ethic in so many of today's younger people is practically nonexistent.

Section 8 Housing, and Insurance fraud is a big issue around me. Everyone works the system to get free stuff... except me, I pay my health insurance and rent, and get screwed financial for it. My paycheck is small due to state/federal hand outs, and they goto people who lie, and work the system. I know several people in my town that lie to get section 8. Say they live alone, yet have 3 families in the house. The US needs to do more checking up on people.

The home of the free means different things to different people. The Democrats have pandered to the welfare groups for years and therefore, it's really no surprise that their idea of the home of the free is a free home

Who is sitting around doing nothing and saying they should have free medical treatment? Unless they are physically or mentally disabled, they shouldn't. And no politician feels this way, despite what Rush says.

But everyone who works should have free medical care, just like every industrial nation in the world.

If we can spend more on defense/military than the rest of the world combined, then we can definitely afford to take care of our own citizens. A healthy population is more productive, increasing our GDP.

We need to spend tax money wisely: helping the welfare of our citizens and not throwing money at special interests, contractors, and the pentagon who seems to have "misplaced" about 2 billion dollars.

A humane medical system would have this as its philosophy: "pay according to your means, receive according to your needs."

Well you have to consider what is running our politics right now...Big drug and Insurance companies!...Do you know where your hard earned tax dollars go? I recently found..that tax payers are funding all inmates. So it's alright to make sure all of our criminals are healthy, and yet our future generations our left in the dark!! Come on...I am twenty years old and I haven't seen a doctor in two years because I can't pay these high premiums.. America needs to wake up and see what the rest of the industrialized world is doing......We have Socialized police force, fire department...you like your garbage picked up right? But universal health care is bad. The American health care system is corrupt! We need real health care reform.

So how about the working poor? The Millions of them? Who can not afford health insurance?

My mother works 60 hours a week and still can not afford health insurance.

How about small business that cant afford to give their works or them self's insurance?

Its really easy to sit back and Listen to Rush And Faux news talk about the " free loaders" out there. While they sit back and have free health insurance for doing something as demanding as talking on the radio!!
